los muertos y yo

I’m in Mexico in early November, just as Dia de Los Muertos has come and brought us into this late harvest time, where we remember our dead, our beloved dead.

Sometimes we remember them in beauty as they were but also as they are now, veiled to us, even as they have come inside to dwell closer than ever to our hearts.

Here is something beautiful. They are scarves painted with petals and skulls, a collaboration of Damien Hirst and the Alexander McQueen fashion house.
